-study the chart on the handout
-characteristics of non-fiction genre and fiction genre
Part B: Figurative Language
-similies, metaphors, personification, idioms, and irony (dramatic, verbal, and situational)
-know definitions and be able to give examples of all
Part C: Short Story characteristics
-plot graph (problem, rising action, climax, declining action, solution)
-protagonist, antagonist
-flashback, foreshadowing, tone
Part D: Short Story
-read a new short story and answer corresponding questions
